At Joris Van Dijck, we have been the benchmark in forklift trucks, aerial work platforms, and warehouse equipment for generations. We are looking for a technician with a passion for machines, service, and quality for our branch in Genk.

Training courses

You have completed technical training (electromechanics, automotive engineering, maintenance techniques, etc.) or have equivalent experience. Internal training courses ensure that you are always up to date with the latest techniques and machines.

Challenging

No two days are the same. From maintaining forklift trucks to troubleshooting on site, you enjoy working independently and thinking along with our customers. You will be given room to grow, take initiative, and deepen your technical knowledge.

Job description

As a technician at Joris Van Dijck, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and inspection of our machines—both in our workshop in Genk and on site at customer locations. You will be part of a team of experienced technicians where knowledge and collegiality are key.

You will analyze problems, carry out diagnostics, and make repairs quickly and correctly. You will work closely with our service planner and report via tablet or smartphone.

Tasks

  • Performing maintenance on forklifts, pallet trucks, reach trucks, and aerial work platforms

  • Performing repairs on site or in the workshop

  • Diagnosing technical malfunctions

  • Responding to customers correctly and professionally

  • Administrative follow-up via our digital tools

Requirements

  • Technical background (school or experience)

  • Basic knowledge of electricity, hydraulics, and/or mechanics

  • Driver's license B is a must

  • Ability to work independently and take responsibility

  • Customer-oriented and communicative
